Just looking back at some old PR Warrior blog posts that I produced over the journey.
There was one – from Aug 25, 2010 – in which I set out a number of topics/talking points that I had raised while leading a PR and marketing roundtable event.
If I recall, the discussion that night, around what were emerging trends at the time, was pretty robust. Looking down the list, you’d have to say that these trends and ideas more or less have played out (and pretty much are continuing to do so).

☑ ‘NICHE-IFICATION’ & THE RISE OF COMMUNITY – explosion of niche communities of interest 👩🎨
☑ HUMANISATION OF THE BRAND – people do business with people 💬
☑ TRUST IS THE ‘NEW BLACK’ – the ‘secret sauce’ for today’s brand communicators ❤️
So much change, and much of it is still happening on one form, shape or another! Plenty of opportunities for those who embrace these continued shifts in the marketplace.
