In the previous episode of REPUTATION REVOLUTION, we focused on the importance of content and the role it played in building a personal brand of substance and meaning.
In this episode, we extend that theme, with emphasis on public speaking.
According to Psychology Today – our fear of standing up in front of a group and talking is so great that we fear it more than death, at least according to some surveys.
But public speaking also provides professional experts and aspiring thought leaders with a tremendous opportunity to build personal brand visibility, influence and trust.
Indeed, if you’re any good at it, speaking can become a solid source of revenue.
In short, public speaking is an important cog in a business leader’s reputation marketing arsenal. Today, I enjoy speaking from the stage, but that was not always the case!
